PROGRESS ON OUR HOME

We have a well!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! On Tuesday, the well drillers arrived and made their grand attempt to make their way with all their heavy machinery through our MUDDY, did I happen to mention MUDDY field where they needed to be to drill our well. Of course within the first five minutes....they were stuck. Luckily, my father was my eyes and ears and went out to find out what they were thinking. It didn't take him long to figure out their plan...they wanted their equipment out and they were going to throw in the towel! Talk about a rapid rise in this gals blood pressure. I called our builder and said "Steve, they are saying they are going to get their truck out and leave and NOT drill our well because it's too muddy!!!!" Now imagine that in a much more anxious and panic stricken voice. Steve being the sweet guy he is tried to calm me down and he was on his was out to evaluate the situation. In the meantime my Dad asked the well drillers "If we can get you back to the spot you need to be can you drill the well?" They said "well yes, we want to work but this is not the only place we are unable to get in to drill". My Dad said the guy said "Yes" like yeah...but we both know that's not going to happen. So my Dad came inside and started making phone calls. He was able to contact the farmer who has always cash rented our land and called in a favor. Let me just tell you all...Keevin is my HERO! He was here in no time at all with a big CAT tractor and pulled all of their trucks back to the drilling site where they were able to hit water with their first attempt! The entire process took less than two hours. All of this stress and worry for a measly two hour job! CRAZY!!! I feel like a giddy little girl in a candy store! I cannot believe that in approximately 1.5-2 weeks we will be moving in to our new home!?!?!?!?
Thank you to all of you who said little prayers for us...God was listening! We will have more updates as they become available but tentatively our plans include collecting a water sample to be evaluated on Monday (overnight) then once the results are in and provided the sample passes then we call for our final inspection. Once we have our move in slip in hand we will be quite busy for a while getting all tucked away in our new home. WE CAN'T WAIT :) :) :) :) ;) :)
